Beyoncé's rise to fame was with Destiny Child, where she was the lead singer in the 1990s. This Houston native has never looked back and has made several global impacts.
"Happy birthday to one of Houston's greatest champions, @Beyonce," U.S Rep. Lizzie Fletcher tweeted.
The "Irreplaceable" singer has topped charts and set trends throughout decades. She has even starred in some very famous feature films like "Dream Girls," "The Lion King," "Austin Powers in Goldmember" and so on. Even Shakira took to social media to wish Queen Bey a happy birthday.
"Happy bday B!! Thinking of you on your special day! Enjoy with your loved ones! Remembering good times," Shakira wrote on Instagram.
Knowles is also a Grammy Award winner, and she has broken the record by being the only female artist to have won 28 Grammy Awards.
"The world is a better place with you in it," said Maya Rudolph, actress and former cast member of "Saturday Night Live," in a four-minute video published by Harper's Bazaar.
Knowles has an obsession with the No. 4, and her birthday is one of the reasons behind it. She shares her birth date with her husband Jay-Z, born on Dec. 4, 1970, and Tina Lawson, Beyoncé's mother, who was born on January 4, 1954.
If that's not reason enough, Forbes has estimated Knowles' net worth to be $440 million. Moreover, Jay-Z and Beyoncé were married on April 4, 2008.
The singer returned to Houston to the Bayou City and donated toward the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. The first stop she made was St. Johns Church, where she told the audience she had sung her first song. The pastor did not comment on the amount donated by Knowles.
