Houston Sales Tax Update

Sales and use tax collections for the 12 most populous Houston-area cities totaled $1.0 billion in the 12 months ending June ’21, up 4.4 percent from $981.7 million for the same period a year ago. Collections for the month of June totaled $104.2 million, up 17.1 percent from $89.0 million in June ’20.
