Norma E. Davenport
1936-2021
Norma E. Davenport, age 85, of Houston, Texas passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021. Norma was born July 28, 1936 to Mary and Gustov Anderson. Norma is survived by her husband of 42 years Wallace E. Davenport, Daughter; Barbara Jones, Son-in-law; Robert Jones, Granddaughter; Heather Barahona, Great Granddaughters; Isabella and Ava, Niece; Laurie Baker and Stepson; Tom Davenport. Norma is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Virginia Ford. Norma was a member of Westbury Church of Christ. She was a lifelong Astros fan, beginning with the Houston Buffs who played right around the corner from where she grew up.
She was a caregiver who would help anyone in need. She "never met a stranger." Norma will be missed dearly by all her family and friends. A visitation for Norma will be held Sunday, August 15, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Monday, August 16, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A committal service will occur follow at Forest Park Lawndale.
