Sandra Jimenez Elizalde

Sandra Jimenez Elizalde passed away peacefully on July 27, 2021, after a five-year long fight with lung cancer surrounded by family. She was 63. Sandra was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on October 3, 1957 to Pablo Jimenez Rodriguez and Maria Albertina Reyes Colon. She was the third oldest of eight children.
She was raised in Bayamon, Puerto Rico and spent her summers at her maternal grandmother’s farm in the countryside. While attending Dr. Agustín Stahl High School in Bayamon, she met her first husband, Kenny Santiago, with whom she shares three children: Jennifer Santiago McReynolds, K. Ryan Santiago & Jacqueline Caban. They raised their children in Orlando, FL and later in the Florida Keys, where Sandra worked at both Key Largo Elementary & Middle Schools.
She later moved to Atlanta, GA where she dedicated many years of service to pediatric healthcare and later studied to become a certified massage therapist. It was at this juncture of her life that she met and married her forever life partner in 2005, Carlos Rosano Elizalde. In 2012, after following her youngest (and favorite) daughter to Baytown, TX, she and Carlos built a beautiful life together. Sandra went back to the healthcare field, but this time with a huge heart for elder and hospice care.
The way Sandra died is just like she lived: she was dedicated to helping others through their struggles, pains, and any adversities they faced. Sandra was strong-willed and a fighter, who had committed her life to serving Jesus Christ through her church, Templo Emanuel, and was totally devoted to her husband and family, whom she loved fiercely. Till the very end, Sandra worried about the health of others, before thinking about the pain that she endured daily.
Her celebration of life will be remembered by her loving parents, Pablo Jimenez Rodriguez & Maria Albertina Reyes Colon, her dedicated husband, Carlos Rosano Elizalde, her three children, Jennifer Santiago McReynolds, K. Ryan Santiago and Jacqueline Caban and their spouses, Leonard McReynolds IV, Michelle Santiago and Gabriel Caban, her siblings Pablo Jimenez, Maritza Jimenez Reyes, Vilma Iris Jimenez Reyes, Maria de los Angeles (Angie) Jimenez Reyes, Diana Socorro Jimenez Reyes, Pablo Alberto Jimenez, Rosa Elena Jimenez Reyes and Camili Jimenez Reyes, her seven grandchildren, Ariel Rivera, Yamelix Santiago, Leonard McReynolds V, Isabela Caban, Tatyana Caban, Zuri McReynolds and Lucas Caban, her great granddaughter Sonya Andrade and many cousins, nieces, nephews and faithful friends.
