James R. Adamoli, Jr.
1941-2021
James R. Adamoli, Jr., 79, passed away July 8, 2021 in Houston, Texas due to surgical complications. Family was by his side.
Jim was born August 26, 1941 in Banning, CA but moved early on to Santa Monica, where in 1959 he graduated from SAMOHI. He married his high school sweetheart and attended Cal Poly on a basketball scholarship. He transferred to UCLA and became an All-American player on the Volleyball team. He played on that team in the Pan American Games of 1963.
After UCLA, he went to work at TRW, eventually rising to the level of vice president. Upon retirement, Jim started a manufacturing business using recycled paper to produce products as diverse as insulation, mulch, and insect repellent.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruth; his aunt, Miriam Drake; and his brother, Mark. He is survived by his children, Anthony (Suzanne); Paul; and Rand (Alison); his cousin, David Drake; and his long-time loving companion, Dolores Moreno. He was the proud grandfather of James III, Nicholas, Sarah, Brianna, Lilly, and Charles.
