Holly Payne Douglas
December 29, 1977 – June 14, 2021
Holly Christine Payne Douglas radiated joy to all who were blessed to know her in the short 43 years of her life. She was abundantly loving, adventurously authentic, and selflessly compassionate. She believed in the goodness of all people and freely gave her heart and smile to encourage and uplift those searching for value and worth. She was a genuine, irreplaceable friend who was always up for celebrating life’s unpredictable journey.
A Texan through and through, Holly was born in The Woodlands and passed peacefully at 5:30am at her home in Katy. She is survived by her husband and biggest champion, Joshua, along with her loving family: mother Jennifer Balbuena and husband, father Mike Payne with Debbie Payne, sister Melissa Howe with husband Matt Howe, and brother Drew Baker with wife Jennifer Baker. She treasured her nieces and nephews: Averi Howe, Rylee Scarborough, Brooklynn Howe, Reid Baker, Nolan Baker, Reagan Smothers, and Aly Smothers. Holly’s magnetic enthusiasm created a countless family of friends who cherished her greatly and will carry her legacy of kind-heartedness.
Holly was created beautifully unique by God the Father, saved by faith in Jesus Christ, and embodied the Spirit’s fruit of love, joy and gentleness.
