Joe Allen Durrett

1932-2021

Joe Allen Durrett was born in Ryan, Oklahoma on January 10, 1932 to Oscar and Birdie Lee Durrett. Joe went to be with the Lord on June 23, 2021, after a long battle due to illness. Joe will be remembered for his sweet loving personality, his love for singing, and love for the Lord. Joe cared deeply for his friends and family and prayed daily for them to know the Lord.

Joe is preceded by his loving wife, Samye Durrett and survived by his daughter, Jayme Durrett Pearson and son Jeffrey Durrett, grandson Bryan Pogue, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. His nephews, Ronnie, Danny, Steve, and Gary Durrett, nieces Dawn Halstead and Lori Durrett, and many cousins, his favorite Larry Durrett. His is survived by his wonderful friends at the Dollar Club and his best friend Bob Easley, his wife Sadie Easley, Becky Easley, Marie Easley, and numerous very close friends.

Joe would like to thank Dr. Barry Troyon, Dr. Maher Bishara, Dr. Ronjay Rackett and all the great doctors and nurses that kept him comfortable and were so thoughtful while he was going through his treatments during the last years of his life.

Joe will be missed by all who knew him.
