Evangelina Fantone Tiangco

Evangelina “Geline” Fantone Tiangco, 94, of Richmond, Tx, passed away on June 6, 2021, with her family by her side.

She was born to the late Anastacio and Emilia Tiburcio Fantone, November 22, 1926, in San Narciso, Zambales. Evangelina graduated high school from Zambales Academy, and received her Associate Degree in Nursing in 1952, from the University of the Philippines, and BS in Nursing from Ortañez University in 1979.

She married the late Enrique de Leon Tiangco in 1958, and they lived in Quezon City until the death of her husband in 1984. Evangelina is survived by 6 children: Maria Teresa Tiangco of Sugar Land, Maria Concepcion Dumantay of Richmond, Enrique Tiangco III of Sugar Land, Miguel Tiangco of Richmond, Maria Victoria Velasquez of Cainta, Philippines, Maria Paz Ramirez of Sugar Land. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren: Erik D., Marc D., Christopher T., Nicholas T., Pia V., Maria Conchita V, Elaine R, Michael R, Matthew R..

Evangelina was the former Chief Nursing Officer at the Quezon Institute in the Philippines. She loved cooking, gardening, singing, crocheting, crossword puzzles, and reading. Evangelina was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. She loves and lives for her children.

Viewing ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at The Settegast - Kopf Co at Sugar Creek Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday June 17, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St Theresa’s Catholic Church 705 St Theresa Blvd Sugar Land TX The burial will follow and will take place at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery 12800 Westheimer Road Houston TX Reception to follow and will be announced.
