Stephen Patrick Hurd
1959-2021
Stephen Patrick Hurd, 61, passed away May 31, 2021. Stephen was born July 20, 1959 in Houston, Texas.
Steve attended Westbury high school, and the University of Houston. He was known for his many years in the commercial flower and the plant industry. Steve was also a long time resident of the Woodland Heights. He loved gardening, supported the arts, and was an accomplished chef. Steve traveled extensively abroad, and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his father James Hurd Sr., and his sister Teresa Hurd-Nichols. Steve is survived by his mother Marjorie Hurd, brothers; James Hurd, Jr. and Michael Hurd and his wife Karen, nieces, Jessica Hurd and Julia Hurd and nephew Chris Nichols. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 10, 2021, 5PM at the Heights Funeral Home.
