Vernon Earl "Dinky" Brooks. Born in Houston Tx on May 28, 1966, passed on May 3rd, 2021 at 54 years old. He lived with courage, he never did anything with fear and kept a straight face no matter what looked him in the eye.
Dinky was a creative soul. He always had a passion for art, drawing and tattooing at a young age, learning the song "Smoke on the Water" on guitar and playing it for an entire year, and covering his bike in probably 20 layers of paint by now. If you drove past a bar and saw that bike outside you'd already know exactly who it belonged to. That's the kind of person Dink was, when he did something he did it his own way.
Preceded in death by grandparents Julia and Lee Roy Brooks, Red and Doris Walker; uncle Vernon Earl Brooks, and step brothers Chuck and David. Survived by parents Barbara Landry, William and Francis Brooks; siblings Cindy, Gerald, and Kathy; step-siblings Ricky, Larry, and James; daughter Meghan; son Joey and grandchildren Riley, Ayden, and baby O.
