According to a release by Houston CBS affiliate Channel 11, the young artist Abby Guerrero chose Hidalgo, as she is the youngest woman to serve as a Harris County chief executive. Hidalgo took to social media to express her gratitude and praise toward the mural’s creator, a young artist identified as 15-year-old Abby Guerrero.
